There are a lot of votes to still be counted and with our newly implemented Ranked Choice Voting, results could change if we enter a second round of voting. These will be tallied up on 3/13/25. Here are the current results:As of election night 4,456 total votes were counted as noted in the attached pics for the two contests yet to be decided for Mayor and District 1 City Council. In that group 177 people did not vote in the Mayor's race and 117 people incorrectly filled out their ballots with their #1 choice. These are indicated as under and over votes. The City Clerk yesterday has reported an additional 5,866 ballots, plus 682 unverified postmark stamped and unverified signatures ballots received from the Post Office. That means about 6,600 more ballots are still to be counted plus any that come in the next few days with a valid post mark. As stated earlier we will not know the final election results until 3/13/25 so stay tuned! ... See MoreSee Less

Thank you Redondo Beach Residents! Measure RB passes with 63.4% approval! Residents once again prevailed over the false information rhetoric from a few wanting to turn Redondo Beach into another high-density Santa Monica.During the election they falsely claimed unchecked overdevelopment will take place if you vote in favor of Measure RB. The reality is this would likely occur if RB didnโ€™t pass. The city would have become immediately exposed to predatory developers pursuing Builderโ€™s Remedy lawsuits forcing new construction projects and thousands of new โ€œexpensive condosโ€ throughout Redondo Beach regardless of the land use zoning. Informed residents thankfully saw through the propaganda from the same few people who love to push high density housing that would increase traffic, degrade safety, infrastructure, public services, and diminish our quality of life. Finally, a big thank you to those City Council members, two in North Redondo, two in South Redondo, who publicly supported Measure RB after all five City Council members voted to place it in the ballot.Everyoneโ€™s support made a difference and will help protect Redondo Beach from outside special interests trying to overbuild our already densely populated city for years to come.Read More at the link belowwww.rescueourwaterfront.org/2024/11/10/measure-rb-passes-by-huge-majority/ ...
